The origins of Gusto Caribbean date back to 1960 when the founder of the company M. J. Lamprill was acting as business development manager for Turner Machinery Co Ltd. in Latin America and the Caribbean.
During the seventies he set up a small company for exporting food techbology and worked with the British Intermediate Technology Group to help local companies benefit from the use of technology that was suitable and specifically designed for developing countries.
In 1980, Gusto Caribbean Co was set up to export appropriate technology to the Caribbean Area and to work with the local industries to develop, suitable solutions tailored to their needs.
Gusto has found solutions and improved efficiencies for many industries in the area. It has customers in the Power generation, Hospitals, Cement, Sugar, Rum, Cable, Logging, Wood processing. It also supplies equipment for the Councils and Airports.
With Power Generation being one of our most demanding industries, Gusto has increasingly specialised in the sector and created alliances with many Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Gusto also works closely with high quality alternative part and service suppliers, to offer its customers the best solutions possible.
Gusto has recently celebrated its 35th anniversary. This has been possible to all the customers who appreciate the service we provide in seeking to make the most of their existing equipment along with the provision of new equipment where adequate. We hope to continue helping them and we will strive to help your company in the same manner.
